BloodCenter of Wisconsin - 1-877-BE-A-HERO (1-877-232-4376)
Saving and enhancing patients’ lives is central to everything the BloodCenter of Wisconsin does. It provides communities with a continuum of care that includes the discovery, diagnosis, treatment and cure of many life-altering health conditions.
To partner with the BloodCenter of SE Wisconsin, Cross of Life holds quarterly Blood Drives in our Fellowship Hall. Participants are encouraged to sign up ahead of time (on the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall or by calling our church office), but walk-ins are always welcome!
Sign Up for our MOTHER'S DAY BLOOD DRIVE on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 7 a.m. to noon. Link coming soon!
We've had some special Blood Drives lately!
For our Mother's Day Blood Drive on May 9, 2015, donors received a card and flower to give to the mothers who gave them the gift of life! In addition ... this drive surpassed all goals! 53 people signed in and 49 were able to donate ... exceeding our goal of 40 donors! According to the Blood Center, it was their best drive of the day! Thanks to all who added meaning to their Mother's Day by passing along the gift of life!
For our Halloween Blood Drive on Saturday, October 3, 2015, donors received a trick or treat bag of candy. Why? The trick was to get donors in the door ... the treat was that each saved one life – or more! 38 people signed in and 33 were able to donate. Thanks for your spooktacular gift!
If you would like to be involved with our quarterly Blood Drives or the BloodCenter itself, please contact Servanthood Advocate Lynn Shannon.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to watch the VIDEOS we created about our very own members so that you can understand the need - and how it can hit very, very close to home.
Donors at our Blood Drive on February 14, 2015 gave the best Valentine's Day gift of all: the gift of life! This drive provided 47 units, which exceeded our goal of 40. Thanks to all who gave of themselves ... literally!
Come for the good of it, stay for the food you get! At our Blood Drives, donors always enjoy food, fellowship, and the feeling that comes from doing something meaningful for others.
