held October 2015-February 2016!

In our music, God is glorified ... and music is a very important part of worship at Cross of Life!

Music enriches our worship services and the lives of those who participate. There are opportunities for people of all ages to become involved in music at Cross of Life. We always welcome new choir members and we invite you to use your talents for the glory of God. We don't label our worship services as "traditional" or "contemporary" as we recognize those terms mean different things to different people. Our mantra is "good music is good music" - whether it's a hymn sung with the organ or piano and guitars ... or an anthem played by our handbell choir or sung by our adult choir or one of our children's choirs ... or an offering shared by an experienced or beginning musician.

Please check below for ways you can glorify God through the gift of music, then join us!

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC adds to the texture and depth of our music program. Instrumentalists are invited and encouraged to play in worship throughout the year.

Brass Ensemble: Our brass ensemble plays each year at Christmas and Easter. Any brass player Grade 7-Adult is welcome to participate. Two or three rehearsals are scheduled before each performance.

String Ensemble: Our string ensemble plays each year at Christmas at various other times during the year. Any strings player, Grade 7-Adult is welcome to participate. Two or three rehearsals are scheduled before each performance.

Pianists: We are always looking for pianists who are willing to share a special piece in worship. Whether you are a beginner, advanced, or somewhere in between, there is a place for you! If you take piano lessons, church is a great venue to showcase some of the music you have learned. If you no longer take lessons, worship is still a great place to share music you have been practicing on your own. Music should be church appropriate (no pop tunes or show tunes).

For more info or to schedule a time to play, please contact Christine Standley, Directory of Music Ministry, at or 262-785-9420.

COL Gloria Dei Handbell Choir and CTK Handbell Choir Combined
Cross of Life’s Gloria Dei Handbell Choir and Christ the King's Handbell Choir rang together at COL on February 23, 2014, and at CTK on March 2, 2014. In this video they are playing Brethren, We Have Met to Worship,” arrangement by Bob Burroughs.

COL & CTK Kiddie Cantata: “Land of the Lost & Found
The children’s choirs from Cross of Life (preschool-grade 5), along with children from Christ the King, joined together for a very special musical presentation, “Land of the Lost and Found: A Musical Encounter with the Parables.” This “kiddie cantata” told the story of God’s love for us through the parables of the Lost Coin, the Lost Sheep and the Prodigal Son. Sung at both COL and CTK on February 16, 2014, this presentation was an edited version of the children’s musical created by Kim Ingram, Joe Milton and Heather Olson, published by Open Hearth Musicals.
