Occasional Small Groups

At Cross of Life, we believe that belonging to a Small Group is an important way to stay connected to your faith family. To that end, we offer a wide variety of Small Groups in an effort to foster further involvement among our members. While most of our Small Groups meet on a regular basis, we have several Small Groups who meet “occasionally” or on an as-scheduled basis. We invite you to check out the Small Groups below to see if any interest you, and we encourage you to attend a gathering to find out firsthand if it’s a fit for you!

THEOLOGY ON TAP

Join us for our next Theology on Tap:
When: TBA
Where: TBA

We always have great topics on tap and no one ever gets the boot (unless you order one). Questions? Need more info? Want to be put on our email list to receive notifications of upcoming events? Please contact Muriel Otto.

CONNECTING THROUGH ART
Cross of Lifers had a wonderful evening at our first Connecting Through Art small group event on Wednesday, September 30, at the Board and Brush studio in Elm Grove. Each participant made a really cool home decor piece from a wood pallet (photo at left). Thanks to Joan Krause for coordinating such a pallet-able event! If you'd like more info about future gatherings, contact Joan at joankrause@wi.rr.com.

RUNNING GROUP
Our COL Running Group is out pounding the pavement! A couple intrepid COL-ers are training for Summerfest's Rock 'n Sole half marathon on June 13, and/or other races. Once or twice a week we run together for enteraintment (and peer pressure!). Lots of different speeds, any and all are welcome.

Run, don't walk, to get on our e-mail list! E-mail Muriel Otto.

WOMEN'S SMALL GROUPS
Our 6-week Women’s Small Groups Series in January-February was such a success that many women wanted to keep meeting even though the series ended. We're excited to announce we’re forming more Women’s Small Groups in response to the interest that’s been shown! Groups will meet at different times of the day and week depending on members' availability. If you’d like to get connected through a Small Group, please contact Muriel Otto.

BRIDGING GENERATIONS
This is a very meaningful cross-generational ministry that brings our Confirmation Students into a closer relationship with seniors. We invite seniors from both Cross of Life and Christ the King to be paired with one or two of our Confirmation Students. Together you would be a part of various conversations and projects here at COL on four Sundays from noon to 2:00 p.m.

If you could make at least three of our four dates and are excited about sharing your own life experiences with our Confirmation Students while learning a bit about theirs, you’d be a great blessing to this important program!

In 2014-2015 we met on November 23, December 14, February 8 and March 8. Watch for THIS year's dates to be posted and please plan to be involved in this important program. We're always looking for more Senior Mentors!

If you can be a part, please contact to John Horner-Ibler, Jo Ann Tomm or Muriel Otto.

HOLY CROSSERS: OUR ADULT SOCCER TEAM
Our "Men's Over 30" soccer league played through the end of April, 2016. Start times ranged from 8:00-11:00 pm. Regardless of how much you have (or haven’t) played before, we could use you on the field. And if you're in your late 20's, simply start the game with a small limp and you'll qualify! We could ALSO use some folks cheering for us on the sidelines! We play at Brookfield Indoor Soccer at 19485 W. Lisbon Road in Brookfield.

Check back again soon for NEXT season's schedule!

Contact Brian Klick at bklick1@gmail.com or Pastor John at john@crossoflife.org if you’d like more info.
