Bible Studies

 Join us on Tuesday mornings from 9:15 – 10:30 starting this week as we spend some time meeting these great figures who didn’t predict what would happen in the future, but instead addressed the issues of their day to the people they spoke to.  Come and learn their stories as we listen for the Word God might be speaking to us.   Led by Sherrie Lorbeck.

Adults are invited to grab a cup of coffee and join us for Bible Study on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and often on other days of the week as scheduled  The studies range from specific books of the Bible to significant time periods in our Christian history to religious figures of importance. Whatever the topic, the information discussed has great influence on who we are as Christians today.

Bible Study is a great way to grow in your relationship with God and one another.

Childcare is available during the 9:30 Adult Education Hour. Gail Anklam is in the Nursery for infants through kindergarten.

BIBLE STUDIES ARE CURRENTLY ON SUMMER HIATUS BUT WILL RESUME AFTER LABOR DAY. Join us in Fall to take "fall" advantage of our Adult Education offerings!

In his Minister's Minute in our April Newsletter, John Horner-Ibler poses the question: How would you take a fall into reading your Bible a little more? He suggests we start by exploring one of these Top Five lists:

   * Top Five Bible Stories that would be great to tell at a campfire.
   * Five Bible Stories that got added to the Bible long after it was written.
   * Five Bible Stories that echo each other over time.
   * Five Most Important Bible Stories.
   * Five Favorite Bible Stories.

You'll find these lists below!
They come from the March Bible Studies, “Our Favorite Bible Stories: How the Bible Changes Us Still.” You’ll see John's favorites as well as Sherrie Lorbeck’s and Muriel Otto's. Pick a couple. Take it as far as you’re comfortable. For now, check out the Bible stories ... and take a fall into reading them!

"Get over the idea that only children should spend their time in study. Be a student so long as you still have something to learn, and this will mean all your life." ~ Henry L. Doherty
