Quilting Group

We meet every Monday from 9:30 a.m. to noon upstairs in Room 206.
Join us any Monday you can and come and go as you want. We have a great social time together and we’re looking for anyone who can cut fabric, sew pieces together, assemble quilts, or simply tie knots! If you can't attend on Mondays, you can help from home by sewing tops together! Simply pick up a "quilt kit" from the quilting basket in the Narthex entry and return when finished (instructions are provided).
Our passion is to create as many quilts as we can to send to people in need  here in our community and around the world – through Lutheran World Relief.

Since our inception in 2003, we have made and donated more than 1,000 quilts!

Please join us for our next "Gatherings" from 9:30 a.m. to noon:
When:  Mondays: September 12-26
Where:  COL Room 206 (upstairs in Art Room)

Join us for our Fall and Winter gatherings:
October 3-31   /   November 7-28   /   December 5-26

Please Note: If you're interested in joining us, simply SHOW UP! If you have any questions, simply call our church office at 262-785-9420. Otherwise, we hope to see you there!

We are always in need of supplies! Donations of the following are greatly appreciated:

  • Sheets for backings: full, queen and king flat and king fitted; please label the size with tape
  • Fabric for tops: cotton or cotton/polyester blend
  • Floss for tying: 5-strand embroidery
  • Batting
  • Thread

At left: On October 6, 2014, following Quilt Weekend at COL, some of our Quilting Ladies box up the latest quilts to be sent through Lutheran World Relief.

Thanks to all who clipped donations to the quilts to help defray the cost of shipping!
