Our International Partner: El Salvador
Cross of Life's international partnership resides in the country of El Salvador. Our partner congregation is called Cordero De Dios
(meaning "Lamb of God") and it is located in a suburb of San Salvador
called Soyapango. Our youth and adults have journeyed there,
every August, for the past 4 years. In 2006, we began traveling twice a year, January/February and August.
How can Cross of Life help:
- travel to El Salvador (We travel twice a year: January/February & August)
- donate supplies
- medical/dental
- soccer uniforms, balls, shoes, socks, etc.
- fabric - donate money towards scholarships
- help staff medical/dental clinics in El Salvador

Our next trip to El Salvador leaves Saturday February 14th 2009 and returns Saturday February 21st.

| Learning about our latest trip to El Salvador |
From 9:30-10:30, in room #202, you’ll find the coffee on and setting ready to enhance a relaxed, conversational environment. Each week members of our congregation or the community lead adults through a current issue topic. Please contact Susie Hilgart (785-9420) if you would like to get on the calendar.
- Sunday Morning Bible Study:
From 9:30-10:30, you’ll find the coffee on and a pastor-led Bible study. Each month will bring a new topic. Currently, we're in the north Fellowship hall classroom, doing a "Introduction to Reading the Bible" study. The setting is relaxed and conversation is abundant.
Throughout the year, we invite you to attend:
In the spring and fall, we offer Bible Studies, both during the day and evening, that take us deeper into the Word. This spring's offering is Learning to Read the Bible as the Books It Be!
- Wednesday Evening Adult Education & Sunday Evening Speakers/Events:
Periodically throughout the programming year Wednesday nights have been an excellent venue to run educational “series” for adults. These learning opportunities happen on Wednesday evenings, from 6:00-7:30.
At least twice a year, fall & spring, Cross of Life hosts an all congregation event. An inspirational speaker(s) presents on topics that affect our church locally and/or nationally.

Our congregation is governed by a Council made up of 12 people. The President, Vice-President, and Youth Representative serve for one year terms, renewable once. All ministry committee chairs serve for two year terms, renewable once.

About childcare in our nursery...

Cross of Life offers childcare at no cost for families with young children during all worship services and for many other scheduled events. A paid nursery caregiver is in the nursery during Saturday evening and Sunday morning worship offering a familiar face and consistent care for the infants and toddlers.
Childcare is also available for children through Grade 3 during adult education opportunities from 9:30 - 10:30 each Sunday!
We are excited to offer an "older kids" (K-Grade 3) childcare option during the 9:30 am education hour in the Sunday School wing, lower level.
This new space allows our older kids to spread out for large motor activities, do a craft or just gather on the floor for a movie.
Gail continues to be in the nursery for infants and toddlers.
Our childcare provider is COL member, Carla Whitehead. Carla is a junior at Carroll College majoring in Education.
She will be providing supervision and looks forward to meeting new faces.
Why all this awesome childcare? So Moms and Dads can take part in all the wonderful Adult Programs offered on Sunday Mornings!
